The government has now approved the use of medicinal cannabis in a range of conditions, subject to certain criteria that your doctor will discuss with you.

Please phone the clinic to make an appointment with Dr Rao and advise reception that you would like to have a Medicinal Cannabis Consultation.
Your consultation can be carried out in person or via Telehealth if you prefer.
Your doctor will discuss your condition and the suitability or otherwise of medicinal Cannabis and answer any questions you may have.
Medicinal Cannabis consultations have a cost to the patient of $127.90 ($208.00 charge with a $80.10 Medicare rebate.)
Your doctor will then apply to the Government for approval and once received will call you back in for a second appointment.
Your doctor will provide a script and further information about the product prescribed.
The script can be filled by a nominated pharmacy or Keperra Compounding Pharmacy which is just two doors up .
Cost to the patient is $118.60 ($160.00 charge with a $41.40 Medicare rebate).
Now you are using medicinal cannabis a third appointment (and further if required) will be bulk billed until established and stabilised at the required dosage.
Further scripts / consults after 3 months from the first consult will cost $80 with a Medicare Rebate is $41.40.
