Keperra Medical Centre - Fees Update
We regret that due to increasing costs (and the lack of medicare funding keeping up with these costs) we are having to introduce private billing fees on some appointments after normal clinic hours.
Keperra Medical Centre will Bulk Bill all standard in clinic patient appointments during the hours of 8:00am to 5:15pm Monday - Friday.
For extended hours of treatment (appointments after 5.15 pm weekdays and on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holidays) for phone consultations and other non-standard appointments, there will be private billing fees.
For these appointments, patients will need to pay at the clinic at the time of the appointment and then claim the Medicare rebate.
Following the announcement of the 2024-2025 Federal Budget and the Government’s lack of investment in General Practice, our fees will increase on 1st July 2024.This is due to the ongoing discrepancy between the cost of operating a general practice clinic and low increases to the Federal Government’s Medicare rebates. This decision has not been made lightly and is necessary to continue to provide high-quality health care to our local community.
